James M. Bauer, 73, of Erie, MI, died Monday, April 3, 2017, at his residence unexpectedly. Born February, 9, 1944, in Pittsburg, PA, he was the son of Milton and Eleanor (Ewing) Bauer. James proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. James married Joanne Zacharias on June 1, 1991 in Toledo, Ohio and he was employed for several years with The Horizon Property Group.
James enjoyed golf, Pittsburg Steelers, Ohio State Buckeye football and American Pickers T.V. Show.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Joanne C. Bauer; Children, Beverly “Bev” Steadman, Heather Trievel and Mindy (Shaun Temple) Zacharias; grandchildren, Ashley, Alana, Bailey, Josh, Sierra, Shaun Jr. and Donavon; Sister, Helen Bauer and his trusty sidekick Cody Bauer
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial visitation will be from 3:00-5:00pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. where services will begin at 5:00pm. Memorial contributions to Jim’s family would be greatly appreciated.
